'Odds n Ends' at SoART Gallery
Local artist and MACs member Nikki Hall will show her 'Odds n Ends' exhibition at SoART Gallery Narooma from this Thursday 16th of February.
Although Nikki like to focus on landscapes and animals, she uses a wide range of different styles and mediums in both traditional and contemporary styles.
“Over the past few years I have stolen time to paint between business commitments. The subject matter is eclectic. Thi...s exhibition is an accumulation of works created in this period” says Nikki.
Recent excursions with friend and photographer Warren Purnell have inspired paintings that reflect these journeys together.
'Odds and Ends' will be showing from Thursday 16th February to Tuesday 28th February, open from 10am to 4pm daily.
An unofficial open celebration will be held at 3pm on Saturday 18th February – everyone welcome.

Mountains to the Sea Exhibition
at SoART Gallery
Margaret Hadfield (Zorgdrager) knew from a very early age that art was her essence and her love of Australia’s unique landscapes, seascapes, indigenous history, flora and fauna, continue to be spread across canvas.
Margaret has proven versatile and inspired. She has been a finalist in the; Portia Geach Portrait Prize; Shirley Hannan Portrait Prize; and Country Energy Landscape Prize. She won the inaugural Gallipoli Art Prize in 2006 and continually amazes with her poignant interpretations of Australia’s military heritage. This year’s highly commended finalist, “Standing Room Only for Heroes”, will be a special feature of her Narooma show.
Six of Margaret’s Gallipoli Series paintings have been touring Europe. In 2010 they featured at ANZAC Day Commemorations in The Hague; this year the paintings were displayed by the Australian Government at Canakkale, Turkey; and in 2012 will feature at ANZAC Day commemorations at Villers-Bretonneux, France.
In 2011 she opened another gallery/teaching studio at Curtin Shops, with classes for all ages and levels.
