An embarrassment of spectacular beaches
Mystery Bay is a pretty coastal hamlet between Narooma and Tilba Tilba. Surrounded by national park, this sleepy backwater comprises a few modest houses, a primitive camping ground, a phone box and an embarrassment of spectacular beaches. It is heaven for anyone wanting to get back to nature.
Swim, dive and fish
Visitors can walk down to the no-vehicle accessed Billy’s Beach to explore its rock pools, caves and formidable geology in blissful isolation or they can lay on the expansive sands of Mystery Bay’s other beaches and swim, dive and fish in exceptionally clear waters.
Whales are often visible from Mystery Bay, the bush and coastal walking tracks are spectacular and the area is dominated by the brooding and spiritual presence of Gulaga – Mount Dromedary.
